Dear Sir or Madam,
The shortage of general practitioners in the Netherlands is also affecting our practice. We are really noticing this at Parkwijk General Practice. We have been looking for new general practitioners for quite some time, but have not yet been successful. We continue to actively seek new colleagues.
What does this mean for you?
You are welcome to ask any questions you may have about your health. At the moment, we need to prioritise people who require urgent assistance or are seriously ill. You may therefore experience longer waiting times than you are accustomed to from us on the telephone, for appointments or for responses to your (online) enquiries. We are not happy with this situation and are working on a solution for the long term.
Good to know
When you call the practice, the doctor’s assistant will ask you a few questions. They are specially trained for this and will assess what is best in your situation: telephone advice, an appointment at the practice, an e-consultation via MijnGezondheid.net or a referral to another healthcare provider.
- Always call in case of emergency. We will help you quickly.
- If you are unsure whether a visit is necessary, first check thuisarts.nl or moetiknaardedokter.nl.
- Via MijnGezondheid.net and the free app MedGemak, you can easily ask questions, request repeat prescriptions and view your healthcare records: https://home.mijngezondheid.net/.
- If you are worried about your health, do not hesitate to ask your question. In that case, please always contact our doctor’s assistant.
- During consultation hours, you may discuss one question per appointment so that we can provide everyone with the best possible assistance.
We understand that these changes may cause difficulties. Thank you for your understanding and patience. Together, we will ensure that you receive the care you need.
Kind regards,
N. de Voer
Manager of the Parkwijk General Practice
